Glass cut to size
We keep a large stock of glass at our workshop and cut it to size for trade and public customers. Phone your sizes through or bring them in, and we'll tell you when it's ready.
- Types: Float, toughened, laminated, obscure, wired, fire
- Also: Greenhouse and horticultural glass

Glass we supply
- Float glass. Ordinary clear glass for pictures, cabinets and single glazing.
- Toughened glass. Heat-treated safety glass. It has to be cut to size before toughening, so allow time.
- Laminated glass. Holds together when broken. Used for security and safety.
- Obscure and patterned glass. For privacy in bathrooms and doors.
- Greenhouse glass. Horticultural glass for greenhouse and cold-frame repairs.
- Fire glass. For fire-rated doors and screens.
Tips for ordering
Measure the opening twice, in millimetres, and take a few millimetres off each side for clearance. If it's a door or low-level pane, it will likely need to be safety glass. If you're not sure, bring the old glass in or send us a photo.

Can I just walk in and buy glass?
Yes, during opening hours. For toughened or larger orders, phone ahead so we can have it ready.
Why can't toughened glass be cut after?
Toughening puts the glass under stress so it's strong. Cutting it afterwards would shatter it, so every cut and hole is made first.
